This Privacy Policy applies to the websites junatkartalla.com and trainsonmap.com, as well as the Junat Kartalla (Trains on Map) mobile applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (collectively referred to as "the Service").

Touko Peltomaa built the Service as a Free tool.

Data Collection and Use

We respect your privacy. The Service does not collect, store, or share any personal identity information, specific location data, or marketing analytics. We do not use third-party advertising frameworks or invasive tracking tools.

To keep the websites and apps secure and running smoothly, we use standard, privacy-focused services that process technical data under the lawful basis of legitimate interest:

• Infrastructure & Security (Cloudflare): Our web traffic and APIs are routed through Cloudflare for performance and security. Cloudflare processes standard network data (such as IP addresses) solely to protect the websites and APIs against malicious attacks and to serve data quickly.
• App Health & Telemetry (Expo Insights): We use Expo to monitor the mobile apps' performance and deliver software updates. This collects basic, anonymous device information (such as your operating system version and the app version you are running) to help us identify bugs and ensure updates work correctly. It does not track your identity or personal usage habits.

Any data required to show trains on the map is processed directly between your device and public transit APIs.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. Because we do not collect or store any identifying personal information or user profiles, there is no personal data for us to retrieve or delete. However, if you have concerns about privacy or the third-party security tools we use, you may contact us at any time.
